In the period of American invasion of Iraq (American-Iraqi war), an Iraqi man crosses the reed-bed in the border of Iran – Iraq to acquire a bridal dress from his Iranian friends. However, he has to face many dangers in the water ( Saddam’s soldiers) and in the sky (American planes ) to deliver it safely to his bride.

Elham Hosseinzadeh was born 1970 in Ahvaz. She received her MA in Social Communications. She started her career as a journalist for famous Iranian newspapers and conducting research on social issues as a professor of journalism. She made several advertisements and collaborated with many directors on documentaries and short films. ”Silent companion” is her first short film as director.
